There's a reason Jorgensen I-bar clamps are our most popular heavy-duty steel bar clamps. The special steel I-bar designis tremendously strong and stiff, and the clamp head is fixed for maximum resilience. A cold-drawn steel screw withsmoothly cut acme threads attaches to ductile cast-iron castings to complete the clamp. Depend on this clamp towithstand the rigorous daily demands of school shops, commercial woodworking operations, metalworking factories, weldingapplications, and serious woodworking applications.
The 7236 Steel I-Bar Clamp from Jorgensen is designed for everyday use, including use in school shops, commercialwoodworking, metalworking factories, welding applications, and professional woodworking.
The fixed head is threaded to accommodate the screw, and a multiple-disc-clutch holds securely at any point on the bar.It features a high-carbon steel bar, malleable and ductile iron castings, and 2' clamping faces. The screw isconstructed of cold-drawn steel and contains smoothly cut Acme threads, hardened steel thrust bearing, and a crank-typehandle.
